Here is the "FINAL" placement for recording "The 4 Horsemen" by Metallica. And the Vox Preset.

The intention is NOT to duplicate the Metallica sound, but to obtain a more "Personal Tone".

Final Preset for Recording Heavy Metal Guitar

Carlos and I spent some time last night tweaking and turning the chicken head knobs for a little while until we found a really good combination of volume, EQ and mic placement... The goal was to get the best sound to record a warm, yet Heavy Metal tone.

we down the treble a lot, up the bass, a little more gain and a different amp, High Gain american. (what we were thinking after all ...)
